October Favourites

Dear Weekenders,

I can't believe that October is already coming to a close. Tomorrow sparks the beginning of November and to be honest, I'm so excited for all of the new things to come. October was quite a month for me. I did costume design for a film (did I mention this month was busy?!) and started this blog! I'm so happy and proud of what has become of August Weekend and constantly so grateful for everyone that reads my posts and comments such lovely things. I never would have imagined that people would show up so soon but it's been great getting to know you guys.

As October comes to a close, I'd like to go over some of my favourites from the month!

These lavender vanilla scented items from Bath & Body Works have kept me going through all of the stressful days in October. Every time I was feeling overwhelmed or had too much of a busy mind I would end the day with a nice hot bath. I would pour some of the luxury bath into the water and light the white barn lavender vanilla candle. After that I would use the body lotion and spray some of the pillow mist on my bed sheets! Lavender is known to help relax you so I kinda went on a mini splurge one day in Bath & Body Works. It's been totally worth it though!

I've been loving the Revlon ColorStay Lipliner in Plum. Since Autumn came around I've been wanting to wear a darker lip shade while not looking completely unapproachable and this one seems to be a good shade for me. Plus, I love its staying power - this stuff is pretty long-lasting (until you eat anything*).

Next up is my Zara perfume that I got from my brother a few years ago at Christmas. I love wearing it to meetings and special occasions (can't find it anywhere online, sorry!). I just sprayed it on my wrist and to me it smells sweet and floral with a hint of spice!

I was more than obsessed with my fuzzy sweater from New Look this October and I have the sneaking suspicion that the obsession is going to continue on through all of November too, hah!

I bought a pair of burgundy ankle boots from Call It Spring and I love 'em to bits. They're comfortable and have this slouchy yet structured appearance that can be paired with more put together dressy looks or worn super casual.

Lastly, I gotta say that you guys are in my favourites for sure. I'm so appreciative of anyone that took the time to read a post or share a few words with me this month ♡
